I work at Oceanside Malibu because I am filled with gratitude and the desire to inspire. I am grateful to been given a second chance in life, and I now know how to appreciate a life lived clean. Recovery has brought me out of the darkness of active addiction and into a blessed and sacred life with purpose. I really love working in recovery, specifically the early stages. I have the opportunity to show people in the struggle that it is a challenge, but the rewards are worth it. Who else better to show them than me? I really feel that if I can do it, anyone can! Anytime I can help someone that is stuck where I have been, I will always seize the opportunity to do so since I know the way out! I actually came through the Oceanside Malibu program myself and I have grown so much with the caring and very supporting staff members of the company. Since I’ve gotten clean, I have reunited with my 4 daughters and 5 grandsons. That alone has been worth the struggle of getting to where I am today in my life. I am also in med school to be a registered medical assistant and I am a registered drug and alcohol technician.
