Intensive Outpatient Program
At Oceanside Malibu we often find that many of those who enter addiction treatment also present with multiple diagnoses with which they may have struggled most of their lives. This is called a dual-diagnosis, and it doesn’t just go away after rehab. Our compassionate team of mental health professionals complete a thorough battery of assessments to fully understand an individual’s history and treatment needs. The use of empirical outcome-based assessments is reflective of our holistic full spectrum approach to treatment, allowing us to consider the health and wellness of the body, the mind and the spirit. These specialized assessment protocols provide the most comprehensive level of care possible.
This commitment to excellence is further reflected in our Intensive Outpatient Program, which is comprised of a variety of treatment modalities and facilitated by our skilled and compassionate staff. Designed as a lifeline to clients leaving the Residential Intensive Program so they can make the transition to daily life, reinforcing habits and behaviors that guarantee long-term sobriety, each patient is supported and mentored by a case manager, primary and peer counselors.
The Intensive Outpatient Program further addresses and provides support, stability and follow-through for clients on issues explored in the Residential Program which include:
